You are invited to the opening of ART EXPRESS’D in Yellowknife! Join the Winnipeg Art Gallery at the Shorty Brown Arena as we continue our cross-Canada art adventure. Meet artist Jessie Buchanan and view the sea-container-turned-mobile-art-studio. Be part of the journey and participate in free art-making activities!
Workshops: July 14 – 17, 1pm – 5pm

July 17th – Seniors and Elders
Artist Jessie Buchanan will lead participants through each workshop, creating acrylic paintings in response to questions: “How do you understand yourself as a Canadian?” and “Do you feel connected with your land and/or environment?” Together, Jessie and participants will design works that encompass geography, spirituality, and landscape to unite the Canadian Identity across the country.
